That's just unflavored metamucil. As far as hidden caveats, drink plenty of water, and I mean all day, not just when you take it. If that dries out in your guts, it can get stuck and you will be pooping out of a hole in your abdomen into a plastic bag for the rest of your life. It's not a very common problem, but it can happen. Also it gives some people bad gas until their intestinal flora get used to it. So you might want to try it on a day when you won't be doing much socializing.
