>How to make a living being a healthy, fit bodybuilder?
Long story short: you don't. Many bodybuilders are poor and struggling. Even back in Arnold Schwarzenegger's day there were associations between bodybuilders and homosexual sponsors whether that meant modeling—sometimes naked—for fags or straight up prostitution. The ones that look like they do nothing but bodybuilding and aren't independently wealthy are often in reality salesmen—shilling for their or their sponsor's crappy supplements—as their main job. And the ones that are personal trainers are like car salesman without the merchandise, so when clients are tired of being unthinking, directionless losers, they can just leave. Then you're forced to be a 24/7 psychopathic shark trying to eat a new fatty's wallet for breakfast. The contests are not salaries either. There's only prizes for 1-3 guys and 1st place is probably just paying for the drugs that made you win—not all the other yearly expenses.
Bodybuilding is as much an occupation or career as sucking your own dick. The smart ones get out of "bodybuilding" fast whether that means becoming an entrepreneur—like some that own their own gym—or pursuing more traditional lines of work. When you get wealthy or people work for you so you don't have to, then you've reached bodybuilding nirvana, because that's what it is: a hobby for people with time and lack of responsibility. Just being fit is distinct from being a bodybuilder, however.
