So I was doing burpees about three months ago, and I landed wrong on my left hand. I brushed it off, and kept on working out. Except two days later I got a cramp so bad I had to leave the gym and go home, and two days after that my hands were hurting do badly I could barely pick up a fork, and had to take off work and go to the hospital.

It gradually went back to normal over the course of a 4-5 weeks, except for two things:

1. It still just feels weaker.

2. I can't extend it all the way, it's like the skin is pulled taut or something like that.

I absofuckinglutly do not have 15 thousand dollars for surgery. Are there any diy solutions for this, or are my dreams of doing [parkour/freerunning/judo/capoeira] done for?

I imagine you may get multiple examinations if it's troublesome enough. X-rays accelerate bone loss, while ultrasounds stimulate bone repair.

So get a home ultrasound machine? They seem to be around 200, that's not too bad.

It depends on what you want to do. Those with training may be better at interpreting an ultrasound, but if your goal is just bone repair, a combination of vitamin D3 and vitamin K2 (MK-4) might be enough. It helps to know what is wrong before decisions are made.

My main concern is that this is permanent: I don't want the bones to regrow wrong, or something along those lines, and for my hand to be fucked up forever.

>It depends on what you want

I want my grip strength back, for starters.

What if I fund your operation in Australia?

I live in america, so that's not going to work out.

That's a shame.

I hope you get better soon.

People sound sure it's a bone problem. A good chiropractor can usually assess if it is a tendon/bone/muscle. Last year I injured my wrist at work and lost the use of my ring/pinky, and a loss of overall strength.

Neurologist said surgery was the only fix. Chiropractor got in there and repeatedly broke up scar tissue, now it's much better, though weaker than it was somewhat.

 No.130589

>>130470

And about how much would that cost?

 No.130591

I think you should just see a professional about it anon-san, I doubt it'll be some fancy surgery that youll need to fix it

Most people I've seen with wrist injuries tend to have to wear a weird brace and do certain exercises over a couple month period

I have union insurance, so it was like $10-15 a visit, with the usual adjustment/massage thrown in. Was probably 6-8 visits over a few months for the actual treatment.
