At what point and for which exercises should you use them? Sometimes i see people doing deadlifts, bench and OHP with less weight than me using these things, which makes me wonder.

 No.128819

never on prime movers, maybe on accessories. if you're doing some sort of DL variation and going heavy makes sense, but that would be an accessory.

Im not sure what you mean with that, which of these exercises would qualify for straps?

>bench and decline/incline

>dumbbell pres

>OHP

>weighted dips

>dumbbell rows

>pendlay rows

I really have no clue about this, what is the purpose of these things in the first place, they are meant to prevent wrist injuries, right?

 No.128822

I don't really use them, I just wear them to virtue signal to xfit chicks

 No.128823

Only on heavy deadlift, and only when you reach a point when you fail the heaviest set because your grip fails before your posterior chain muscle. Never use them for warmups, never use them for any other exercise.

Never use gloves

So they are not required for wrist injury prevention and only to increase grip strength? I run no risk doing any exercise without these?

I've seen a girl and guy or two using those stretchy thingies around their legs and what not. I guess it's literally resistance training. Anyway, could those not be the equivalent to Wii remote straps?

But i don't about ever seeing those damn thingies. Could they not be used in lieu of a pull up bar or something of the sort, to keep one elevated pr suspended?

you messin' with me Goebbels? QTDDTOT —→>>>>>

you wrap them around your wrist and the bar so that your grip strength is not a limiting factor. use them when you are doing things like shrugs and deadlift variations when you dont want to over work your grip
