>overtrain

>wake up feeling like i didnt sleep at all

anyone here exercises 7 days a week? i cant do it, i burn out on the 4 day everytime

Too many threads, try again later. WHAT

I used to do this and wasn't progressing as well as with breaks in between. It's tempting to do because if you're like me, lifting is probably your only constructive hobby, so you're trying to chase that feeling of accomplishment.

I work out like 10 times a week. 3 days gym, 4 days amateur boxing and 3 times roadwork in between. For now i dont see any overtraining symptoms but i had to reel myself slowly into this routine.

Im actually looking to drop one gym day. I just dont know what kind of gym program i should use. For now its big compounds 3 times a week SS style.

I've been working out 4 days a week for the past year, of course with break days every now and again

my routine was ABxAB, seems good but between those AB I did a full body workout,

that meant I spent up to an hour and half every day I went to the gym, and didn't even get good cardio

now I've switched up to doing ABC but working out every day of the week,

the logic is that its basically near the same amount of exercise but divided over more days

so I can get everything done quicker, get good cardio, more uniform energy expenditure throughout the week

its been good, but yeah, sometimes you just get more spent, in which case its interesting to take a couple extra rest days

remember that even professional lifters take a deload/rest week occasionally

It's always best to have some decent test time, not including sleep. However, if you insist on doing all seven days I'd recommend doing lighter exercises or weights in three out of the seven.

I've done the 7 times a week routine and a 5 times a week.

Trick is variety, back when I did 5 I used to do splits, so unlike many programs you'll see around here, squatting 7 times a week won't work, I don't really think that if you're going to the gym everyday doing compounds everyday makes sense, if you're a beginner, you have no business lifting 7 times a week, and if you're a veteran and want to train more, you should leave "general" full-body days and do splits not necessarily brosplits, but at least Upperbody/Lowerbody or Push/pull ones

However when I did 7 times a week I used to lift 4 times a week Candito's intermediate program, upperbody/lowerbody and do Chinese Kickboxing 3 times a week, it looked like this.

Sat:Lifting

Sun:Boxing in the afternoon, Lifting at night

Mon:Break

Tue:Boxing in the afternoon, Lifting at night

Wed:Lifting

Thu:Boxing

Friday:Break.

So if you really wanna workout more, lift 3-4 times a week and do a sport. A Martial art is good, a team sport would be great for socializing. And if you don't want serious commitment to a sport, gather your pals and go swimming, rowing or playing football one day. I used to play football with friends although I didn't like football because we used to goof around and run a lot, lots of joking and laughing because we weren't serious, good times with friends.

When you lift you're causing some minor damages to body, which raises stress hormones, which keeps you awake because your body is basically thinking

>omg im being chased by a predator

>better stay awake

The solution is a little trick I learned from a Russian special forces guy. There is a tea of which composition is golden root rhodiola rosea and holy basil ocimum sanctum, in a 3:2 ratio by volume of tea - not weight of plant - brew teas seperately to saturation, then put them through a samovar to concentrate the tea, then mix them in the right ratio. Drink a glass (2.5dL) after every exercise. The Russian government gives them pills of this and some unknown designer chemicals to basically make them supersoldiers, but only ingredients he knew were the common plants. Do NOT spread this recipe around in screenshot form, the guy I'm talking about lives in Canada and the Russian government would know who the leak was.
