Broccoli is also a source of goitrogens which inhibit thyroid function. Testosterone production is greatly affected by thyroid function. I'm not saying I know for a fact broccoli will actually lower testosterone because of the goitrogens, but if I had to guess, much of their nutritional benefit is from being a source of magnesium and vitamin K1, which can both be obtained from other sources. Just accepting common wisdom is tempting, but complacency prevents advancement. The best way to know if the benefits of broccoli outweigh the negatives is to look for studies with an experimental design, or in other words research where they introduce broccoli into the diet of animals and humans instead of polling random people regarding their broccoli eating habits. Maybe that sounds silly to you, but as far as I'm concerned people tend to rely on naturalistic fallacies and are simply too dogmatic about many vegetables being healthy.
