>Still choosing to cause the needless suffering and death of animals with your food choices.

>Still believing that humans evolved to eat meat even though we get clogged arteries, atherosclerosis, high blood pressure, heart disease and diabetes when we eat too much of it.

When will you meat eating subhumans learn?

We evolved to eat meat, just not a caloric excess of over-processed garbage that we didn't have to hunt ourselves.

>why love one… but eat the other?

Dogs have been selectively bred, domesticated, and evolved by humans for 15,000 years with the intention of providing service and companionship. They are fine-tuned to our emotions, body language, and expressions. Pigs were domesticated for an entirely different purpose, and the modern pig of the 21st century has undergone human selection in order to be perfect for our consuming it. You can deny reality if you want to, but as an evolutionary biologist I'm going to have to stop you from spreading fallacies on the internet. Being vegan is better for the world economically so if you can stand to not eat meat, more power to you. But leave us omnivores alone.

Veganism is an ideology and lifestyle industry, a plant based diet is something else.

And to you this is a sufficient reason to support the torture and death of pigs. Whatever helps you sleep at night buddy.

Pigs are actually fairly intelligent animals. Probably smarter than your average huehue.

They don't have to be tortured, some studies have shown that that actually might reduce the quality of the meat. I have a lot of laments and disagreements with the meat industry, and my family and I try to avoid meat that was raised in factories or otherwise terrible conditions whenever we can. But that has nothing to do with the basic principle of consuming meat which you are against. Example: when somebody goes hunting, the animal they kill lived its entire life wonderfully in nature and was only in pain for the last few minutes or so. Certainly less time than had it been killed by literally any other predator, because they have teeth and claws and we have the merciful gun. Then that animal may be used thoroughly to provide for the family of the man that killed it, and its removal from its population will aid in reducing overpopulation, which is now the responsibility of the human race because we are the ones who wiped out most natural predators. Hunting seasons are planned at specific times of year with specific limits in order to keep wildlife populations at an optimal level, otherwise the ecosystem will crash and burn and animals will starve. Undoubtledly a worse fate than being shot in the head, and inevitable unless we hunt.

In a world of only vegans, the natural world will turn upside down, men will have significantly decreased testosterone, and the domesticated cow will either go extinct or be replaced by an invasive feral bull, which I am sure neither of us would like to see. Go virtue signal somewhere else.

I want to quote Taiwan on this instance

She once posted like how it was an honor for those animals to die for you and how you should appreciate it by eating it all up.

The meat industry is responsible for 20% of global greenhouse gas emissions and takes an insane amount of water and land to maintain. The land the animals live on is nothing, their food takes far more land and water. Personally I really enjoy meat, but I'm not going to lie to myself about its effects.

This to be honest family. Dont get me wrong i dont like factory farming as much as the next guy. But meat, if eaten as part of a balanced diet, isnt bad for eat.

 No.122585

>>122556

The problem is not meat its intensive factory farming. Meat can and should be produced sustainability, the funny thing is that as you increase the price meat quality goes up exponentially to a point, so having high quality sustainable produced meat on a large scale would actually not be that much more expensive than it currently is. Sure you couldn't have $1 hamburgers but I consider that a good thing.

Also I know OP is just trolling but what exactly do Vegans think is going to happen to all those farm animals if people stop eating meat and animal products. They are basically calling for the extinction of all domesticated animals. By the biological imperative it is better for those animals to be captive and used as food because then their genes are virtually assured. In fact I'd go so far as to say its better to be a domesticated animal than wild, being useful to humans is one of the most advantageous adaptations possible.

This is interesting to think about. A vegan friend of mine (>inb4 bantz) recently posted a link on FB (>also inb4, I live far away from my family) claiming that one day we will run out of meat and the meat industry will shut down, so everyone should get a head start and switch over to a plant-based diet now. Personally I'm just going to plan ahead financially and budget for more expensive meat. Maybe the peasantry of the world can't eat it, but I'll be damned if I ever stop.

I get the impression that they are delusional enough to think that 1) they can survive in the wild or 2) people will take them in as pets companion animals.

The funny thing is that market pressures are driving businesses toward artifically grown meat, which would eliminate any issues with cruelty or pollution. Vegans remind me greatly of (and often are) socialists who think they need to violently overthrow governments and steal the means of production to gain ownership of it, when capitalism is moving in the direction of their fabled fully automated luxury communism. Means of production are becoming increasingly cheap and decentralized and these idiots are trying to stop the process to try the same failed ideologies because they're gluttons for punishment.
