Because he's better off watching /film/'s recommendations than wade through the shit they'll recommend him. I also think /film/ should rise above the rest of the boards in terms of communication.

Of course /film/ has better taste but the general taste here is a bit overwhelming even for someone who's been on /tv/ for quite a while. How is he to know what's good when he's never experienced shit? You get a whole new appreciation and understanding of what makes a good and bad film.
