In this race Damon Hill and Michael Andretti (who was mentioned by one of our commenters) defy expectations.

Damon Hill had an amazing performance in this one. I believe he set 5 different fastest laps throughout the whole race, some consecutive. Albeit the William had the best electronics, it was still an amazing drive! And I have to admit it Murray Walker's enthusiasm only makes the race even more enjoyable to watch. Pay attention to the gaps between Alain Prost and Hill throughout the race.

Micheal Andretti also had a really impeccable comeback after an early on error lost him some time. I know I've already stated my liking for him, but this race, In my opinion demonstrates his potential for success had he continued his career in formula one.

If people have time I'd also suggest watching the post-race interview with the three podium drivers afterwards. Andretti's ambiguity about his future always had me hoping that he could have gotten a potential seat with another team. Andretti with Lotus for the '94 season would have been fantastic, seeing as it was the same team with which Mario Andretti, his father, got his world championship title. Had Michael gotten in the good Lotus (the extra-tune Mugen engine), and had additional time for practicing, he could been a strong contender for the championship.
