I was shocked that Felipe Nasr and not Giedo van der Garde got the other Sauber race seat. I think Alonso was put in a more difficult situation after Vettel signed for Ferrari. It certainly seemed like Alonso wanted to go to Mercedes in a driver swap with Hamilton going back to McLaren. As time goes by I think more and more that nepotism and not talent played a role in Verstappen's signing.

Alonso With Lotus could be cool. Also, slightly unrelated, hopefully well get to see Rubens Barrichello ride with Caterham for the Brazilian GP

But yeah, Alonso going to Lotus would be cool. He'd be such an upgrade from Grosjean.

>>142 Alonso going to Maclaren isn't terrible, I don't like Ron Dennis Personally, but honestly considering the fact Alonso is probably the most talented driver on the grid its good that he stay in a slightly competitive team. The only reason I think Lotus would be cool is because a lot of the guys from Renault are still hanging around the team, which could certainly help Alonso's performance.
