I watched ReLife and changed my mind on your previous question. I failed a lot in highschool (in regards to have a happy and "successful" life) and these failures have lead me to where I am now (which is where I guess most of us are). I'd probably fail again, but if there was some way of restoring my naivety then I might succeed, and if so then I might be happier than I am now. Or at least feel more content.

I would say the same about my girl too; in my experience, it's not that she didn't want me, but it was a combination of her seeing me as the dopey brother/advice giving figure and me being too cowardly to just come out and say that I liked her. She wasn't a supermodel or anything, I was attracted by her pleasant character - she wasn't a thot, we liked reading, and our home lives were pretty crummy. I've googled her name, and she seems to be doing alright - she's still with her guy, has a family (two daughters), works as an event/wedding planner, basically hitting the milestones I haven't and never will - and I've resigned myself to being content with that. She was the only girl I've ever actually loved - not because I think she was above other girls, though. I just haven't felt the same about anyone else is all. I still have a class photo or two to remember her by, but if I didn't, I'd swear I'd think she was just a phantasm too, like all the other voices in my head these days.

Pretty much this except I don't really have thoughts often about making her not satisfied because of me or something. This reminds me of one chick that wanted me. She eventually made it, she is visual artist now and it earns her pretty decent money but she is so fucking nuts. Insane but any dumb shit that came to my mind, she was there to support me.
