Nah, it had some pretty good ideas especially in the first ~20 mins but the movie is sadly very bad executed.

Heh, I know this. I watch some romcoms from the 2000s like Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind or Yes Man just for the sake of not getting into edgy psycho-dark-movie vortex.

I feel Threads is an absolute doomercore masterpiece, its a genuinely disturbing movie, not due to any gore or any particular scene, just for the sheer hopelessness you end up feeling at the end.

You all need to see this

 No.7631

Threads is what the Road wishes it was, this is the ultimate post-apocalyptic movie and it and war movies are the true horror movies.

You call it dommer? Weak list.

Here are some few with bbudget

Prestige (2006)

Butterfly effect (2004)

K PAX (2001) [mostly for good score]

Most good movies are for doomers

Melancholia. The most compelling portrayal of melancholy and raw depressed detachment from the human condition I have seen in cinema. A slow burn narrative, Kirsten Dunst is of all these fucking normies; really, really, really, nothing at all ever matters. *Also you get to see her titty.**

I don't know what went wrong in this millennium, but it's not normal how much old games and movies give me perfect feeling of comfort while I don't see anything new being produced with similar feeling. Every movie produced today has the same dull sounding soundtrack (I guess because of that retard Zimmerman), the atmosphere just makes me want to blow my brain off, re-works of old movies are total garbage. I re-watched Beverly Hills Cop and even though it's not even B grade kino, it's very pleasing to watch for me. It has some action, some humor, even though there is black guy it feels so natural as a role, plot is very simple, shots from sunny california are pleasing to watch, etc. Die Hard was really good, Lethal Weapon as well, classic action movies with bit of humor here and there, good car chases, good soundtrack, good fashion, etc. Meanwhile I watched that new Mad Max finally and it was total shit, not comparable to original Mad Max. You Christians should pray to God to just finish this misery. I don't know if it's just nostalgia but if even 80s dumb comedy with Eddie Murphy makes me want to back in time, to times when reality wasn't exactly too pretty but there was sense of hope or excitement coming from different countries, new things coming up, etc. What we have now, everything looks exactly the same, it's same crap all around the world, AI will produce for us movies without real actors, fuck this timeline.

 No.7999

Every modern movie is shot on digital film which is flat, edgeless and dull for films that superfluously and narcissisticly explore "the human condition" if not just pretentious.

Imagine an AI that can turn your 8ch posts into a movie. Or datamine an entire board for characters, plot, locations, and even a soundtrack. It will be a logical progression for the entertainment industry based on increasing personalization of taste.

3 channels, summer blockbuster that everyone watches → cable TV, VHS, independent arthouse distributors and genre films → Netflix, YouTube, fully personalized curation → AI-generated film based on your social media accounts, typed phrases, and web history.
