Anyway, my idea of a meat locker would be a an experience where you have a hyper-awareness of your body and nothing else. Literally everything else blurs into a threatening presence that cannot be made sense of. Over new year's I tried codeine pills.
Had some leftovers from my last influenza. One pill has 50mg.
Some rave sites recommend to not go above 200mg.
I started taking 100mg and then incrementing 50mg after each 30min
I think I took 6 pills in total
The high was weird. At first I noticed breath frequenfcy was going lower and I felt calm. There was a kind of easiness in the beginning but over time it turned more into a state similar to beeing drunk when it came to motorics and reaction times. I could barely walk straight and felt very weak. However I could play counter strike pretty well.
The day after I woke up with a sore throat even when I did not scream at all the day before. I also had nausea and headaches for half the days.

They're also incredibly easy to get, weed is harder to get than opiates. How you ask? because you can buy opiates from every pharmacy in the world.
I don't know what the US equivalent is, but in the UK we have cocodamol. It's tablets that contain 8mg of codeine and 500mg of paracetamol. You get 250mg of codeine in each packet. if you don't have an opiate tolerance, that's enough to properly fuck you up.
It's very easy to separate the codeine from the paracetamol, it only takes maybe 2 hours at most so there's no risk of damaging your organs.
the best part? it's like £2 for a pack. how much does alcohol cost? how much does weed cost? a lot more than £2.
you don't have to wait for dealers, you don't have to talk on the phone, shit you can be a complete shut-in with zero access to drug dealers and still get codeine.
I'm high on it right now, took .25mg xanax and im drinking a couple beers. i feel fucking great.

One evening I took 6 or 7 codeine pills (350mg in total) over 3 or 4 hours. I took more and more because I felt no effects. Eventually I just gave up.
I did not feel much that evening but next morning I had a full hangover like a truck hit me. All muscles hurt, my throat was sore and I had to take aspirins just to not feel like shit entire day.
I don't understand how people can get high off this. The evening I took them, I only felt sleepy and like my breath was getting shallow.
Maybe I am one of those people who apparently cannot metabolize those things or something. So all in all, my one and only drug adventure was boring and painful

That'd be my guess. My opiate tolerance is quite high and 350mg would put me on my arse. That hangover feeling you had is just what happens when you take too much. Sometimes i up my dose to 300mg and i always regret it because it always makes me feel nauseous. There's a ceiling effect with codeine, anything more than 200mg seems to just increase the negative side-effects while barely increasing the high.
Grapefruit juice stimulates certain enzymes and allows your body to metabolise more codeine into morphine so perhaps that's worth a try
If you can get your hands on more, it might be worth trying them again. i remember when i first started taking codeine and all it did was make me dizzy, sleep and itchy. after a few times i started getting the warmth and happiness. remember to stick to a dose of about 100mg - 150mg though.
