Currently work from home. Pass an exam for work. Should remove stress, does not. Long term I don't want to be in this industry buy pays about 57k a year, so not too bad overall. GF wants to hang out all the time, which is nice but even when I want to sleep and get up at 4 she wants to sit on me while I sleep. Add in less and less motivation for school (to code) and I can't stay up until 3 like I used to. I also mentioned to my gf we should travel (as I am working from home and fuck why not). "But anon I want to save money like you". Never mind we would be going to the country she wants for 3 months (plus some other countries afterwards). Also never mind I would pay for most the expenses. Never mind for the cost of a shitty apartment here we could be overlooking the water. Oh well.
I guess all this savings I have should go towards stonks. Sucks that I can't even spend it on an apartment downtown as most the features appeal to normies all the while drunks stagger by your luxury apartments, asking for change. I really want to go back to school (and have taken 3 classes so far for a certificate program that can transfer and already have a BA in business), but motivation seems to be waning. Honestly I don't want to go for the money, but more so i could be a proficient programmer plus have more (permanent) work from home opportunities so I can expatriate outside the US. At least on the upside I am working towards having a bug out place outside the US if things get crazy and hopefully will have residency soon in another country after covid is done. I just want to improve my life, but it just does not seem fast enough and kinda loosing motivation. Sorry for the blog post I just feel weird that even doing OK financially. it is hard to find greater targets to reach as most the ideas I had 5 or 10 years ago seem like husks of themselves. At this point I want to keep my job and chill in South America at this point but no have toi stay here in this boring and convoluted situation that is the West.

I am half tempted at this point to rent out a small office downtown and put all my creative shit in it. Does anyone have experience with this?

Though it isn't all bad. I've been able to split the rent at a decent place with some old frens from high school. We have all of the creature comforts like tolerably fast internet and life is simple and sort of comfy tbh. If a total loser like me can get by, I think you'll be okay, OP.

I hope I don't come off as a grump or anything, financially I feel fulfilled, and romantically things have been decent, I just feel like I am getting semi-old and I feel like things are settling in. There is no new thing on the horizon and the things that are/were are in hibernation or are dead due to various factors. I think this is me just lamenting that I feel like things are fading into an American Beauty type scenario. On a positive note finances are not an issue and I might be able to get out of the rat race.

Try modafinil or adderall if you need motivation enhancement
