You fell for a meme that schools actually mean something. People study because they want to have pretty list of schools in their CVs. Exceptions are actually people who study 'useless' things like art, social sciences, history, philosophy and whatever. Not all of them and certainly not most of them but I'd rather spend time in school doing something I'm somewhat interested in rather than chasing carrot of academic title in fucking chemistry. minor in chemistry, you will get more math and introduction to concepts like equilibria which will help you understand econ better. Plus, chemistry is less abstract than physics which helps the science apply more to real-world problems (other than physics-specific stuff). If you decide to switch to a science major, be sure it is (Discipline)-engineering, otherwise you won't get a job without grad school. (e.g. chemical engineering majors get a job out of college, chemistry majors have to go to grad school or med school etc. to get a job)

Also, stay away from the frat/greek life meme. Find friends who study and don't use "party" as a verb. Get a job so you aren't bored and looking to get into trouble. Stay away from drugs, they're tons of fun until they fuck your life up and when you stop you will be more depressed than when you started. Social drinking is fine, but walking through a room where the carpet is sticky from spilled beer and people are just mindlessly grinding on each other is best avoided.
