I'm really glad I could talk to many people who were here since the beginning or who came later. It's not all gone but this thing is sort of becoming a trend and even if you won't encounter this type of stuff on this board, you might encounter it elsewhere online or even irl. We will hold it together somehow until anyone of you won't leave for whatever reason. In 2012, I gave it three years.
I went the anorexia route of dying, but my fam cockblocked my success.
Now I'm left with a crippled osteosystem, cardiovascular problems which led to a stroke, maybe two, and chemical imbalances in my brain from doing drugs ever since refeeding. Left drugs a year ago ans I now also have crippling insomnia, I have a sleep deficit larger than life and no vitality at all.
Jesus, I feel dead alive.
My advice here is that if you plan suicide, is like murder, quick and no witness that could "save you" (aka leave you worse than when you considered this option in the first place)
And most importantly. I don't endorse suicide unless you're in literal living hell.

The difference between /doomer/ and /suicide/ is that we thrive despite hopelessness. And while I certainly have thought about hanging myself, experiencing an apocalypse is a chance that comes only once every couple of millennia; I would be the worst kind of asshole if I threw this away.

This. I came here about 6-7 months ago and it has been really cool. Still way better quality than any other boards I am on. Kinda sick of the constant "what is doomer, why are you doomer" etc. But it's also interesting to see how my answers change, so whatever. Rather than gripe in a longwinded manner about zoomers I will just leave this sentence here. I miss when it was more gen x/y people here who just wanted to scream for the sake of it, knowing it wasn't going to do anything, and sharing goth bitches and basking in the glory of esoteric ryderism. There was also some cool content created a few months back and that has really stopped, which is sad.
