None of these are the main reasons civilization is in for another dark ages.
The death of community combined with taking altruism to a twisted extreme, the idea that not only are the sexes exactly the same they are also not real and anyone can identify as a 5 year old girl, the muh economy ideals of the boomers letting China grow into a legit threat that's going to fuck us all in the ass mightily one day, the fuckretarded idea of growing tech in a way that normalfags can use it instead of making it better, ending the gold-standard in favor of monopoly money…
Honestly, the last couple decades were a comedy of errors where everyone was doing the exact opposite of the correct thing.

This definition in OP's post is from 2005 or so, when there was a lot of interest in peak oil and collapsitarian ideas in general. There futurist community was divided between 'Doomers' and 'Cornucopians', with Greer and Kurzweil as their respective figureheads. It has nothing to do with the later 4chan meme or this board.

Chomsky should have stuck to linguistics and Stallman to software. Now that I think about it, Terry Davis might have been on to something with his rants about 'MIT Niggers' -- the place literally invented ultracrepidarian nerd activism (aka the Reddit mentality)

I still have a bit hidden admiration for Stallman though. I like him being this freedom extremist character who is at the same time eating dead skin from his feet, but you are right, he has nice caricature feel to him. I'm not in the same camp with him when it comes to consent+children thing f.e., but he has a point in software freedom. Only if FSF could make GPL more readable but I have to admit they are pretty nice people to deal with, I wrote them with some issues few times.

I viscerally fucking hate anarchism. Anarchists are human scum. I hate leftists in general, but at least statist leftists have some sort of end goal, some sort of coherence, of order. You can see some kind of nobility in their ideals. But anarchists? They just want chaos. "Order without power" my ass. Anarchists want it the other way around.
All human relations contain power. That's inevitable. Anarchists want to remove some axes of power to better exploit other (that is, they want power at an individual or clique level). If you want to remove power from human relations, you should remove human relations. In other words, true anarchists should defend vidya, porn, anime, and mind uploading.
That said Chomsky seems more rational and "normal" than most anarchists, which is probably why they don't like him (he defends absolute free speech to beging with, a position now untenable on the Left).
One more thing, it seems to me that there are lots of converts TO anarchism (generally from adjacent ideologies such as democratic socialism) but very few converts FROM anarchism, in contradiction with the popular image of anarchists being immature teenagers in a phase. I genuinely wonder why.

Are you sure you understand anarchism? I'm not going to play role of anarchist here but from what I've read in your post, it seems you have very vague idea of what anarchism and its branches are about.
>Anarchists want to remove some axes of power
This is true, however:
>to better exploit other (that is, they want power at an individual or clique level).
This is false, at least in theory. Reality is always more fucked up.
>and mind uploading.
First of all, anarchism =/= individualism. Second of all mind uploading =/= freedom.
>which is probably why they don't like him
They don't like him because he is precisely playing this role of statist picking up lesser evil in power structure.
tl;dr read some book

Pretty sure I do understand anarchism but I'm still unconvinced. I see this argument being made every time by anarchists and their apoligists "we're the good guys so if you're not anarchist either you don't understand us or you're a fascist". (I am probably a fash but that's another issue). Their definition of freedom is vague and doesn't correspond to freedom as normal people conceive it.
>This is false, at least in theory. Reality is always more fucked up.
Of course this is true in practice. We must look past the way anarchists describe themselves and at what they say and do.
>First of all, anarchism =/= individualism. Second of all mind uploading =/= freedom.
It's precisely my point to say that anarchism isn't individualism. BTW when I say "anarchists" I imply anarcho-communism and related ideologies since non-communist anarchists are a minority. I don't care about mind uploading I was just trying to show their logic is flawed.
>tl;dr read some book
It's true I haven't read any book about anarchism, but do you really need to read all anarchist classics when 10 minutes spent on anarchist hellholes like libcom.org or /r/ChapoTrapHouse are enough to see that anarchists are terrible people?
I probably need some sleep to chill out. Thinking about anarchists is enough to make my blood fucking boil.

>"we're the good guys so if you're not anarchist either you don't understand us or you're a fascist".
I'm not trying to make any argument really. The reason why I like anarchism is exactly because of the "wrong reasons". I'm interested in illegalism, more chaotic variant of anarchism, more individualist variants of anarchism with absence of any power structure etc. So I was playing a bit devil's advocate but that doesn't mean I care about politics at this point of life.
>BTW when I say "anarchists" I imply anarcho-communism and related ideologies since non-communist anarchists are a minority.
Then this is my issue. I was never interested in ancom but when you say anarchism, I think about anarchism as umbrella term, not about ancoms in particular.
>when 10 minutes spent on anarchist hellholes like libcom.org or /r/ChapoTrapHouse are enough to see that anarchists are terrible people?
I don't think this is pretty good way of approaching things if you wish to make objective opinion but I'm not really bothered. I'm separating ideology from /pol/ as well but whatever.

Oh ok. That makes sense then. That being said it's always important to look at an ideology's defenders, who may not behave in a way consistent with it, if you want to get an idea of what the world will look like if they get it their way.

Definitely. I'm very careful about people "carrying flags" or in other words, representing some ideology in very obscene way, as if it's part of their identity. As you said, after all it will be people who do the actions, not the sweet words written in some ideological book.

If your definition of freedom is dying of dissenteria, lack of medicine for basic ailments or some thug with a gun shooting you in the back to steal your shoes then be my guest and become and anarchist. Thats the purest form of freedom you`ll get. I`d personally rather take advantage of a social contract that limits my dumbfuckery a bit but so everyone elses and at least we can survive with a basic level of commodity. Nomads already realized something so basic when they started farming and changing their relations to fit the new modes of living, college kids rather stay deluded.

Hi guys I'm from the department of sensitivity. You've expressed some discontent at the way your life was influenced by unspecified special interests, I'm happy that you feel safe talking about it in this online environment we created for you. Because it's how you feel that matters and you shouldn't let bad emotions take over your life. Journalism is a career profession and requires a sense of higher purpose, it is not used to cover demographic warfare or implement behavioral patterns aimed at making large crowds easier to control. This form of negativity should be avoided as it will be unrewarded. You can relieve anxiety it causes by viewing asmr or visiting a gay sauna, you are free to choose. Because everything we do is for your own freedom, and being free to be who you are and who you want to be is all that truly matters.
