I was thinking about how you could have even more darker dives into human/machine hybridisation.

Take this idea,

A braggadocious slimeball politician comes staggering into the media's lens, his pockets filled with lush funds and greased deals.

This flat slab of an organism has a plan to deal with this overpopulation problem of the prison system and the lack of social programs.

He blabbers on about refitting inmates with an internal endoskeleton system to have complete control over the inmates who can then take care of the social programs like cleaning the streets, sewer maintenance and farming in the harsher climates.

He's capitalising of a campaign of dehumanising the inmate population and the countless strikes happening throughout the world's megacities.

A social parasite grips onto the heart of the world and take the easiest solution.

"THESE PEOPLE ARE THE MONSTERS WHO TOOK OUR CITIES AND TURN THEM INTO WASTELANDS OF THEIR OWN PLEASURE" he barks, his face porous with spittle and sweat.

"IT'S TIME FOR US TO PUT HUMANITY BACK IN THE DRIVER SEAT, THEY MADE THEIR CHOICE!"

Almost on queue, as this harsh bill gets pushed into the eyes of the public, an earthquake strikes into the heart of a metropolis, hitting a 10 on the magnitude scale, trapping and killing an inconceivable amount of civilians.

By the time the protesters organise, waves upon waves of mobile mechanization stations are dispatched, forcibly converting them into piloted human drones and are shipped out.

Due to the level of the bodies on the ground, this proving ground for this program begins working in tandem with FEMA agents produces amazing results.

The death count is astronomical, but the numbers of lives saved are borderline brilliant.

This rotten puss-soaked band-aid on the human psyche allows the bill to rocket past and divisions of governmental bodies start sprouting like a viral infection.

The danger is just a step out the front door, so why have the door in the first place.

>That's just some unfettered train of thought I decided I needed to inject into the conversation, a quick easy fix of a situation that burrows into the pillars of what they concern to protect.

(Had to pick something for a close proximation but egh, KF2 is okay)
