The only other site I considered for videos besides youtube was vimeo but we need better alternatives.

There's this site called handbeezy.com which has a simple layout and allows users to upload and search vids. At the end of every video there's also a selection of videos to explore as a way of finding videos that have already been uploaded.

How expensive would it be to do it the proper way and just host your own personal vlog anyway?

Let's say average video is 15 minutes, which is approx. 640 mb.

Vlogger releases video a week (4 vids per month) and it is downloaded by half of his number of subscribers, on average.

So, ve get:

$traffic = 640 x 4 X $subs / 2

Let's put this into a table:

    subs        traffic
    1 000       1.28 TB
    10 000      12.8 TB
    100 000     128  TB
    1 000 000   1280 TB 

Now, I looked at some VPS hosting sites for offers to estimate the price, but they are fucking confusing.

Can any of you chummers put the price tag on the table above?
