This is relevant to my interests. I'd love to know how best to avoid this too.

first, dont shave if you get irritation there, find another way of removing the hair that doesnt irritate the skin. second, dont pick at them. third, if they dont go away after a month or so see a doctor, especially if you develop any lumps or anything from it. your doc will prescribe you antibiotics and theyll go for sure after. fourth, imo a good trimmer is worth the investment, you dont need to be baby smooth to look good naked, just well groomed.

I get the same thing, and also when I shave my ass. I've managed to deal with it by doing the following:

1) Use a high quality cream for sensitive skin, and apply liberally

2) Chemically exfoliate the area before shaving, and apply to the area once every two days indefinitely (or until bumps have cleared)

3) Shave slowly and with the grain (you can go against the grain once your skin gets used to shaving)

4) I recommend using a single-bladed or double-bladed razor for sensitive areas. It'll take more time, but you'll have more control

5) Shave more frequently. I'd venture to guess you don't shave very often based on the picture you've sent.

Oh shit yeah and, most importantly, apply a post-shave balm or moisturizer after shaving ^^

Chemical as in non-mechanical (as in not physical). If it's a wash, polish, liquid, etc then it's chemical. Guaranteed there's something like that am in any personal care section. Basically just don't use a loofah or something like that cause it'll probably irritate the skin.
