Someone can give more details: IIRC Spoony befriended someone who worked for Discovery Channel and there was talk from the guy about maybe using Spoony for The Hub for a couple of educational PSA spots using his mad scientist character. Generic shit teaching kids about science.

Spoony completely misread the whole thing and produced a super super cheap looking pilot video for a TV SHOW involving his character (at the time Spoony was trying to get his own public TV show off the ground and had access to equipment and sets to do it).

The pilot Spoony gave his friend, who didn't ask for it, was so poorly made that said friend basically severed all ties with Spoony as a result. If he really wanted to recover he should just start making videos. No apology, no explanation vlog, nothing. Just keep producing one video per week or so for like three months. He can have a different type of video every week, like the first week would be a review, the second week a Counter Monkey, the third week something else and so on. That way the time for videos that take longer to make can be smoothed over by lower-effort videos.
