I'm not lawyer so my opinions regarding legal issues are probably uniformed. With that being said, I think that a civil suit against Josh fur supposedly contributing to the death of another lolcow seems unlikely. I would guess that these kind of suits require a relatively strong standard proof and likewise cow suicides are not frequent so there aren't a lot opportunities to file such suits to begin with. I'd say that suits alleging defamation, intentioanl/negligent infliction of emotional distress and publication of private fact are a more likely threat towards KF/Josh. I don't know much about the condition needed to file such suits but when I look at the definition of these torts I could see some of the stuff happening on KF fitting the bill.

Having said the above, it should be noted that Josh is saying he'll leave to China if Hilary wins the election. Suppose that Hilary does win and then Josh actually carries his promise; how would this affect the operation of KF? I would guess that probably some of the stuff that goes on KF doesn't bode well with the restrictive Chinese law.

While I'm a current KF member who hasn't posted regularly due to the direction it's headed, a lot of us who grew up with chan culture in the mid to late 00's eventually became adults, got jobs, and moved past being edgy for the sake of being edgy. Part of what I liked about Kiwi Farms at the time I was a member was the "hands off policy" towards lolcows, trolling them, and the rules about A-logging which I felt were reasonable policies. Kiwi Farms is moving away from those policies such as with the recent incidents.
