>Were they not willing to use Booster Gold?
DC makes weird demands of shows about what heroes they can and can't use. They might have tentative plans to do something maybe down the line with Booster Gold, so they banned the show from using them. For instance, the reason we had The Atom on Arrow was because they asked if they could use Ted Kord on the show, and were told it was a-okay until after they started filming, and then DC told them never mind, and had to use someone else. The company has this retarded concept that people will "get confused" by different shows having different continuities so they demand that there be no overlap with the characters.

Gotham did look really good, at least for the first season.

Felicity was fun and great as a side character, but once they started forcing her as the lead romance for Ollie, she became awful. The real issue is that the writers for that show are garbage at writing romance. Laurel was terrible until they decided not to force her with Oliver, then Sarah was terrible. Then Felicity. Then reporter girl, and Felicity stopped being quite as bad, but still wasn't as good because of the leftover drama from ending a relationship they had to wring out. Now that they're in a happy relationship with no fucking drama and the writers aren't trying to make anything dramatic happen out of that, they're perfectly fine.

I actually really enjoyed the first few episodes simply because it was a cop out for justice in a city that actively hindered that. If you removed the Batman mythos from the show it could have been a really good police procedural.
