>"If mastah Yahnee sayz it's true, it muss be, yes-suh!"
The fact of the matter is, this board is for cartoons and comics, and /a/ is for anime and manga. You have made the assumption that I and the other anons who didn't "call [me] out" are "new", and, while it is true that most of this board is painfully new, it is also possible that I was not "call[ed] out" because doing so would trash-up the thread with clutter, and may even become derailed. Although I would put it past the average user to have had the intelligence and politeness to have decided not to cause clutter by replying, the possibility was still present, and considering you appear surprised the fact that no one complained, that suggests to me that you don't see anything wrong with the average post on this board, all the shitposts and ignorance to certain topics, and lack of proper etiquette, and so on.
8chan boomed (relatively speaking) in popularity when many anons from 4chan left in the latter half of 2014. As a result, there was plenty of cultural carryover from 4chan, and although it continued to grow ever so slowly (due to the flaws in the structure of the website and the lower number of users) for a few years, it eventually dried up due to rampant influxes of foreigners, and has since been relatively stagnant, if not outright replaced, which is slowly happening in some places. So old 4/co/ culture is our culture as well—we musn't forget the past. As you can clearly see in the attached examples, except in cases where the topic was related to comics, topics that belonged on other boards, like /a/, were generally ignored and/or deleted, if not moved to an appropriate board. Was there discussion to be had at times? Definitely, and it can be quite a bit of giddy fun to sneak discussions before the staff are made aware of it. But we assign topics to boards for a reason, and if you can just post about anything, well, why bother calling the board /v/ or /pol/ or /tg/ or so on? It needs to stay on topic. Again, this "issue" is inherent to 8gag's flaws, which wasn't a problem back when the boards were more "united" (generally speaking, anyway; board wars used to be frowned upon, even if you may have hated "weebshit" or "western shit" or what have you). You can't just move a thread to /a/, you delete the offending thread, and maybe give an hour ban to the OP (another thing BOs don't understand is short bans), telling him to stay on-topic/to take it to /a/.
In the excuse being made through Toonami, well, is the French wine I ordered suddenly Sino-Semitic because the freighter that brought it overseas was made in China and is owned by Jews, the packaging that enclosed the wine were made in China and owned by Jews, and the delivery people who brought it to my door Jews, part of a Brooklyn-based delivery company? The product is still French, the product is still Japanese. And, I have to wonder, why aren't there more Toonami anime threads, then? I like JoJo, but this seems like just a petty excuse to talk about JoJo.
Anyway.

Yes, culture matters, and the way you're complaining about it is highly reminiscent of fags complaining about "muh sekrit klub", because, yes, we are elitists and we don't want troglodyte Plebs running around. At the same time, there are tards who don't really understand how to behave, but think they're enforcing the status quo, or perhaps what had become the status quo because of idiots like them, and this was criticized as well. Hide and ignore, report if necessary, otherwise, the staff should be able to handle it. Although that was back when the staff weren't just anybody; again, flaws in 8fag's system.
