I haven't watched Wonder Woman, Aqua Man, or Shazam but I imagine that the difference between those movies and the recent Batman & the recent Superman movies is that people aren't obsessed on having their own take on it or subverting the characters.

While I can't see a moral justification to keeping someone like the Joker alive, he isn't someone that literally only Batman can kill. It is literally not his responsibility. I don't see people saying that Superman shouldn't kill Darkseid. In fact, Batman shot Darkseid with a gun.

I didn't buy it in Superman vs Batman because they were just some retarded fucking crooks, but I don't buy why Batman should be a pacifist in something like The Dark Knight Returns or Red Hood. They didn't use Solid Snake's script. Hayter's script updated Watchmen and set it in the 2000s or whatever, and was actually praised by Alan Moore as being the closest anyone's going to get to Watchmen on film. They didn't use that one. They used another script but because of Writer's Guild rules or whatever Hayter got a credit on the movie anyway. I think eliminating the space squid was actually Hayter's idea

Synderman is the kind of hero who will see people build a gigantic literal idols to worship him and won't even step in to tell them "hey, that's wrong." The kind of guy who will have a montage where he rescues people and look like he just went off his zoloft the entire time. The kind of guy who will fail so badly an entire city gets leveled because he spent a good thirty minutes moping before he actually did his job. The kind of guy who gets revived and immediately attacks everyone because he had space cooties.

Zynder doesn't like superheroes, wants to be edgy and subversive but also wants loud explosions and dubstep.
