There was some foreshadowing in the beginning since they regarded the monster as a she. Talked about her physical strength as well. Towards the ending, I assumed that the monster was going to kill the wrongthinkers because there's no way Netflix would kill off a woke woman that easily.

I didn't even get any whiff of this. I did find the lesbian shit cringey as fuck, but other than that there wasn't any "I'm better than men because I'm a WOMAN!" level writing outside of the beginning of the episode, which again is COMPLETELY subverted by the ending reveal that she's mind transplanted into the monster herself and her "human" form is just a robot puppet psychically controlled, an inverse of the normal situation where the human part is psychically controlling the monster. And thus she's not better because she's a woman, she's better because she's fighting for her own life.

Regardless of whether it subverts the girl-power theme I found that the girl-power theme ruined the 'twist' and the story as a whole. I found the blonde girl doing her kebab practice on her more surprising than the brain transplant. While the whole series is rife with fucking leftist agenda pushing this one in particular left a sour taste in my mouth as the short would've been much better without it. Even a catatonic jockey would've sold it much better than what they ended up doing.

'Greg' in the dracula one being the other one that spoilt an animation I otherwise enjoyed.

Calm down homie, I agree with you. I mean "mature" as in being visually grim or dark like Akira. The animations are visually good, but issue lies within the writing. Most of the episodes are just edgy progressive material where you can easily predict the outcome and theme from the amount of screentime it gives to minorities. Foreign films don't have a major issue with this since they don't have to worry about being politically correct to their own people, there's an element of surprise since they can kill off or disrespect anyone out there.

I liked episode 14 (The Zima) and 18 (The Secret War) the most. My tolerable ones were episode 04, 16, 15, 05, 03, 11, and 07.

That said, Robot Carnival, The Animatrix, Genius Party, and Memories were better animation anthologies because you didn't know what to expect in them.

Really uncreative. Really just a bland scifi shit. The only good thing was the twist and the gore which only happened in the last minute or so. The monster fight was cool and well shot though.

Pretty funny actually, though very normie humor. The ending was trash. The dynamic between the three robots was really great though.

Really where the series picks up. the art style is fucking gorgeous. The plot isn't the best, but it's well thought out and doesn't hand hold the person and lets the viewer come to their own conclusions.

Best episode so fat IMO. Even if it's equally uncreative as Sonnies' Edge, the scifi farm thing isn't nearly as overdone as shitty neon cyberpunk shit. The robots were cool as balls and the action was fun. Stakes felt real, characters were all well developed and felt like actual neighbors.

This is a complete trash episode. Probably the worst. Several of the characters were unlikable fuckwits and it feels like it was made just to pad out the episode length. There's nothing scifi about this. There's no robots in this. It's just fucking vampires.

Pretty neat and unconventional. Art style was pretty too. Though there were no characters to follow it still was pretty humorous without wholly delving into absolute Reddit territory like Sucker of Souls or Three Robots did.

>Beyond the Aquila Rift

Another pretty generic but overall good episode. Sex scene felt a bit gratuitous but eh. The big twist left more questions than it needed, like why the fucking mind rape spider kept letting shit like the navigator chick into the dude's dreams. The ambiguity of it also left a lot of good moral questions as well. Like Is the mind rape spider actually telling the truth? Is she the one fucking up everyone's navigation system or is she genuinely just trying to help them cope with being lost to space by giving them their fantasies? If she's malicious why would she let him see her true form in the first place though?

That's all I watched so far. I watched about half of Good Hunting before I had to stop. The art in it was really pretty too, and the plot doesn't have much there but you can tell its trying the action scenes are pretty neato.
