>actually had a personality

>no weird man-hating agenda

>cheeky sense of humor

>cool powers all around

>sex appeal aplenty and not ashamed of it

>had actual character development during her time as Ms. Marvel

The story where Karla forgot almost all of her abilities so Carol-Sue Danvers could curb-stomp her into oblivion and then act all smug about it still pisses me off to this day.

Am I looking at the super hero equivalent of an abortion in that image?

After a short while you begin to just be more disappointed than angry. It's hard to keep being angry when the comics produced by Marvel consistently shit on everything you enjoy.

I was more amused by the fact that both women seem to suffer from sameface syndrome.

>>1051676

Yeah, but after the whole shitshow with Captain Cuntvers of the past several years, it just occurred to me how much better off Ms. Marvel's character might have been if Marvel benched Carol permanently and made Karla the new Ms. Marvel.

>no weird man-hating agenda

what man-hating agenda? Where does Carol have that?

So that's what Norman Osborn did with the Ms. Marvel costume after he took it off Ultra-Girl.

What happened to Ultra-Girl anyway?

And for that matter, what happened to Sharon Ventura?

>What happened to Ultra-Girl anyway?

<She was last seen applying to be Danielle Cage's nanny, but left when it became apparent that Luke Cage and Jessica Jones had no idea who she was.

Bendis used her as a dumb joke in New Avengers.

>And for that matter, what happened to Sharon Ventura?

<In the post-Secret Wars Marvel Universe, Ms. Ventura has returned to her original human appearance, and has been seen wrestling in her original outfit.

Nick Spencer used her as a prop in his D-Man is a literal faggot story.

 No.1051776

You could've cited her long history as a Thunderbolt. A former villain forced to stay on the straight and narrow while struggling again her sociopathic tendencies does sound more natural with Sofen than Danvers.

She ever married her own son/rapist? if not so she isn't

Which one of Marvel's stable of middle-aged hacks came up with THAT arc, anyway?

 No.1052204

>>1051857

Worse, it was a group: Micheline, Layton, Shooter, and Perez. Not counting the editor-in-chief at the time who shot down Micheline's original idea, leaving them needing to resolve Danvers' pregnancy but without the original direction they were going with.

Meaning 4 or 5 people saw this plot arc unfold before publication and no one thought "Gee guys, isn't this kinda stupid even for a funnybook?"

 No.1052214

>>1052204

Well, Micheline was one of the more solid Bronze Age writers, I still say his Iron Man was the definitive run, what was his original concept?

Damn, such a bad idea. Like Hal Jordan screwing Arisia. Trying to be 70's sci-fi edgy but in a retarded way. I blame cocaine and mommy issues.

 No.1052349

>>1052214

I think he was going to go with something about one of Ms. Marvel's enemies wanting to make a half-Kree hybrid using her womb, but his editor made him nix that idea because something similar had been done in an issue of What If.

>Hal Jordan/Arisia

I always felt the writers made a colossal misstep with this. Not only is it abjectly stupid and turns a superhero into a pedo, it ruins any possible unrequited love subplot for future stories. An Arisia spinoff run, where she tries to grow into the role of a superhero spacecop while trying to deal with her feelings for a man she can never be with would make for interesting pathos, and probably appeal to those "girl comic readers" everybody keeps saying are out there.

>I blame cocaine and mommy issues

Probably.
