I like Black Noir's new look but they toned down Homelander's costume too much. The over-the-top, ridiculous nature of his suit was a big part of the appeal for me. Now he looks like an actual movie cape character which I guess is better for satire but is nowhere near as fun.
For added effect, they could have added corporate sponsors to his suit like pic related in Mystery Men.

It's a double-edged sword. On the one hand, toning everything down a couple notches could actually reign in Ennis' fuckery and make the story better for it. Like if we see small glimpses of stuff like the "Herogasm" orgy but there's a lot less actually shown or explained, it could make those plot elements have more impact and feel more tasteful.
On the other hand, if you take away all the Ennis-brand Hyper Edge, you risk draining a lot of the personality and uniqueness from it, and instead of a fucked up superhero parody set in a shithole world that borders on horror territory, you'd have a really boring superhero-themed sci-fi drama with a couple of F-bombs if you're lucky.
