What do you mean 'will it be'? The Boys is already done. And it's the typical Garth Ennis shit. It was not a deconstruction of the superhero it was an I-hate-superheroes! thing.

I mean the concept is not bad. But Ennis going overboard with his hateboner for heroes ruins it. It's so ridiculous you could crop every bit of his hero-focused scenes and you'd think it's a porn comic.

I'm not sure if it happened in The Boys but Ennis really loves portraying the SAS as the best army in the world and shoehorns them in his stories at one point or another.

I thought it was fun but that's because I like stories that aren't afraid to be genuinely edgy. The superheroes seemed like a metaphor for actors and hollywood but I could be looking too much into it.

Yes. Very much so. Mother's Milk, the Titans parody team having non stop gay orgies with each other doing some absolutely degenerate fetishes… I think there was a catholic team with a black priest and a lot of choir boys with the very obvious pedophilia joke too but that might be from another Ennis book.

I felt the whole thing was just porn at some point. The overall story could be told in half the amount of issues.

They could have run the same number of issues and just developed the world a little further, given us some more insight as to how it manages to keep functioning even while there are people out there snorting superpower cocaine, and also occasional exploding from spontaneous deadly superpower manifestation. Kinda dumb that nearly all the Hero and Villain shenanigans are just public theater, but there's also horrendous shit apparently happening all the time where tons of people are getting murdered gratuitously because of the chaotic nature of Compound V sometimes turning people into braindead fleshheaps.

Everything was some sort of ok even with the over edginess except for the last arc. It was rushed and shitty.

I hate being reminded of the modern superhero movie aesthetic of putting WAY TOO MUCH FUCKING TEXTURE all over really simple costumes.

I had to call it quits after they killed Captain Nazi. That entire part was just stupid. If he was a super-nazi, he'd know the truth. Why is he in the USA, when he could be cleaning up Germany? If Nazi Germany had the super-drug, why didn't they make more supers? And the drug was originally manufactured by a fucking jew, really? It doesn't make sense. A hardcore nazi could give accurate detailed explanations on how the Nazis operated, along with the truth of the concentration camps, but Captain Nazi straight up talks about untermenschen and what-not. He's obviously a jew himself, a real nazi would love Germany and enlighten people about how things really were. And then they of course bring in the fucking communist, for no other reason than to suck jewish cock. The series is stupid, and I feel it should only be read for shock value. If there even is anything that can shock you anymore…

Nazi's just the buzzword for the current enemy. It's not a depiction of reality. If the Cold War was still relevant he'd be named Captain Communism.

Even though WW2 ended before the Cold War even started, Social Engineering has turned Nazis into public enemies number 1. And nobody knows what they even stood for.

What I mean to say is, you're trying to get realism from an edgy comics that tries to deconstruct the genre. Comics that do that, are filled with stereotypes and tropes. Captain Nazi is just one of them so don't try to look for depth.
