Posting all available clips and info for the Tom Hardy film in this thread. Hopefully once it releases on October 5th we will have all seen it and can discuss how true it was to the comics.
Starting in Chronological order with the first teaser trailer without CGI which led people to believe Venom wouldn't actually be in the film for more than a few minutes. As the later trailers show, a bunch of these scenes actually had the symbiote in them, it just wasn't completed yet.

Or "Any good Venom video games?" On /v/ and /mu/ (those were actual threads. Shills already know but non shills don't unless you browse both boards.) It's still shilling that morally just isn't good and comes off too strong.
Likewise if you also weren't new, you'd know 80% of users don't like comic book movies here. The other 20% are newfags or a minority that was never outspoken until newfags who actually do enjoy them started bringing them up after 2016. Even then why the hell would we watch Venom, the story is confirmed to not follow the original, and diverged from the comics, it's also done by Sony so if we were into cape movies why would we not be Marvel or even DC fans who suck Nolan and the morons and kikes at Disney off like Reddit and the majority of people actually invested in comic movies do. Tell your boss to run a shill campaign only on Reddit next time, I assume you already are along with shilling it here, image boards are a waste of time to target.

It was an entertaining but kind of dumb action movie. At least this time around studio was not afraid to get a little crazy with the symbiote. Woody Harrelson as Carnage? Why?

The problem is that professional critics don't see things like the casual movie goers do and don't have a clue about the characters, so they can't even see it as fans.

I talk about Carnage of course, the one everyone wanted to see.
Some movies did it right, like Maguire-Spiderman, cleverly started with the Green Goblin that even non-fans know.
But then it became a trend to start with shitty villains. Like Amazing Spiderman, basically the fourth Spiderman movie, and they started with the friggin Lizard, who looked absolutely shitty.

The actions scenes could get a little hard to follow with all the motion from the camera, with the CG on top of it. Never enough to ruin a scene but was kinda distracting, especially during the final fight, where tendrils and punches are flying all over.
>Infection
The scenes between when Eddie was infected with Venom and when Venom actually shows himself are kinda long and could be cut down. A few of them got pretty cringy too.
All in all though, it was not a bad movie, and I would probably watch it again sometime in the near future. If they do another movie, I would consider going to see it.

The original was just "the virgin walk" about "losers" who walk in an anti-social way. People thought it was kind of a tryhard meme since a lot of the things about the virgin that made him a "loser" were pretty much entirely normal. So someone made the virgin walk vs the chad stride to contrast the "loser" virgin with the alternative version that's implied but not shown. It's a takedown of the autist who made the original and they're bizarre conception of normality or masculinity.

In fact he wasn't. Back in early 2015 he tripfagging on /pol/ and had a giant meltdown where he blamed anime for turning into a antisocial pedophile.

Honestly I really liked Eddie after the timeskip, where he was a broken down loser. Tom Hardy just played that well and the script gave it enough to work. I feel if they'd structured it so the part before that was done in a montage, it might have been better for time. As is, I don't hate it; the loser Eddie part was good and made the Venom parts worth the wait.
We desperately needed the director's cut in the actual film, though.

That's where so much of the charm is in the initial form. The memes that remember that are some of the best, you only get so much mileage out of making it yet another "good idea, bad idea" meme

You know, it’s one of those movies where the more I think about it the more I liked it. It was FAR from perfect, but it felt like one of those older super hero flicks. Like Spider-man 1 with a slight horror twist.

If all they did was put the end scene where he eats the extortionist in the middle of the movie, maybe after the chase scene, the movie would have been improved significantly.
