Nihilist here. I don´t believe in God one bit and even if he would exist I still wouldn´t put my faith in him.

I have yet to find something that can truly challenge Nihilism instead of just avoiding it. Very interested in what you have to say.

Just try to give me something that cannot be rendered pointless by the question "why" and the lack of an answer to it.

>I have yet to find something that can truly challenge Nihilism instead of just avoiding it.

Simple empirical science experiment:

1. Read the Bible, First Book of Moses (Genesis), Chapter 1-11.

2. Carefully think about it without presuppositions.

3. Honestly pray to the God of the Bible to gift you faith.

If there is no God, nothing dangerous could ever happen. You've read a few pages of a book and did talk to your wall and that's it.

But if you for some reason don't want to do the proposed experiment: Ask yourself: Why? Because if you cannot perform a simple harmless experiment, what do you believe in, so you're unable to do it?

There's an entire book of the Bible dedicated to this: Ecclesiastes.

"Why" is a wonderful question.

Q.: Why do we live on a small Earth in a vast universe?

A.: In order to know that there is something greater than us.

Q.: Why can we so easily look at the sky but we can't reach it?

A.: To remind ourselves to be more diligent when we work to reach the heavens.

Q.: Why is our life so short?

A.: In order to know that there is something greater than this life.

Q.: Why do we meet financial loses?

A.: To remind ourselves the earthly wealth is transient, just like our earthly life, and that only in the heavens our treasures are safe, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves do not break in and steal.

Q.: Why is there inequity in the society? Why are some people rich and others poor?

A.: To know that the earthly wealth is vanity.

Q.: Why do our bodies suffer from various illnesses?

A.: Because our souls are not healthy.

Q.: Why do we need to go to hospitals when we are seriously ill?

A.: To remind ourselves that our souls are seriously ill and only in the Church we can be cured.

And from where did you derive your answers?

This isn't about derivation, anon! It's about what you choose: life or death, foolish senselessness or wise purposefulness. If you choose the life, you will see that my answers make perfect sense.

Since we are created in the image of God, we are free to choose whatever we want. We are free to choose that nothing is meaningful, everything is void, our life has no purpose, good and bad are fictitious, etc. I am sad about the people who make such a choice because they will be tormented by their bad choice for eternity.

Please, choose the wisdom, the good, the meaningful life! Follow the Christ and you "will not walk in the darkness but you will have the light of life." (John 8:12) Be reborn anew in order to become what you are meant to be.

I'm not the nihist, I'm a Christian. I was only asking because your questions and answers aren't all directly lifted from the Bible.

Platitudinous, superficial explanations to challenging topics can be unattractive to an Inquisitor in my experience
