Did the divine person Jesus suffer? No. Because God cannot suffer

>Because God cannot suffer

Prove it

If the Bible describes Jesus as suffering, then he suffered

>the divine person Jesus

Christ is true God and true man. As true man he has all human abilities, in particular the ability to suffer or the ability to die. His divine nature, however, remained void of suffering and immortal.

Christ is compound of divinity and humanity, but he is still one Christ. Therefore, we can say that the Word of God itself has suffered in the flesh. We don't say, however, that his divinity has suffered in the flesh or that God has suffered through the flesh. We can say that the second person of the Trinity, the Word of God, has suffered, but we can not say his divinity has suffered.

>Did the divine person Jesus suffer?

Yes, in His human nature

He isn't wrong, it's heresy to think God would be subject to something postlapsarian and creaturely like suffering, but Christ did not suffer in His divine nature.

Hmmm… so you're trying to say that He lacked the most vital fruit of the Spirit, i.e., long suffering? Derp.

I doubt there would be an earth otherwise.
