(Pic unrelated)

You guys on here are so worried about being "anti-/christian/" and rebelling against their policies that one day this board is going to end up becoming the worst version of itself i.e. letting /christ/ tier gnostics in and go way too far on the other side of the spectrum. I support what you guys want to achieve (because the mods on /christian/ have become too authoritarian), but I also think you might be going about it the wrong way. Just a heads up. That's all. Peace.

484736  No.3939

The only thing I care about is that my own threads aren't archived after just 48 hours. Otherwise I'm happy to be with all Christians, catholic or not.

Well that's Protestantism for you, throwing the baby out with the bathwater…

66ac4d  No.3942

Hot take: everyone complaining about a gnostic takeover on /christ/ is just parroting what they heard someone else say about it, and it never really happened. /christ/ had some non trinitarian regulars who seemed disproportionately numerous because it was a dead board otherwise.

/Christ/ also has the same mentality of moderator-defined orthodoxy, just a different definition, so you can't say that low censorship led to the presence of gnosticism. They had gnostic flags which we don't.

>Rome is the rock

What did he mean by this

The Luther Bible (I'm able to understand the original translation) is my connection to the resurrected and living Lord Jesus Christ Himself.

A church with an unbroken tradition since St. Peter simply didn't do that for me.

I wasn't born Catholic and made the connection to the Lord on my own, using His word.

If Rome would have never existed, not a single thing would have changed about that.

The reliability of the translation of the other 66 books isn't impacted by the choice to not translate the apocrypha retard

gnostics, mormons and non-trinitarians are not a threat, even on /christ/ the gnostics were a minority, albeit a vocal one, heck not even JW's or Mormons post on /christ/ even when they're allowed to.

>/christianity/ will become /gnostic/ like how /christian/ is /catholic/.

That is what you're saying, which seems unfathomable. This place doesn't have a rule that only Nicenes and those we accept chalcedon are christian like /christian/ does. This board would literally have to make a rule saying that only christians are those who accept the demiurge is evil are considered so.

I think you are to eager to bring down the hammer on those who are perceived as heretics, why don't you do that in a debate instead? This is a forum after all.
