He's right about the problem, and from a secular perspective he is a hero. However from a Christian perspective we are called to do better. We were once all Christ's enemies and we need to treat others how we want to be treated. So, Christ could have killed us, we were all awful sinners, disgusting, stupid, and yet he had mercy on us. Now who are we to go out and slay these people when the difference between us and them is negligible compared to us and Christ. Therefore, we should repel their invasion as peacefully as they allow and try to teach them just as the Apostles taught our people.
