Probably it isn’t hard for a Pope since they are surrounded by priests at all times and can request confession and Holy Communion at almost anytime. Also if Last Rites were given we can almost totally believe he made it into heaven therefore being a Saint.

It really doesn’t matter what any of us think if he is in heaven then he is a Saint.
There are several things I strongly disagree on what he did but his defense of the Rosary and insistence that Vatican II was not dogmatic in anyway may actually have saved the Church.
Denying he could have made it into heaven denies the validity of the Sacraments regardless of his life all men are allowed absolution up until the moment of their death like the thief on the cross.
