So good for you OP also to answer your question, no God demands a high level of reverence and respect when worshipped. We go to Church to worship God and Jesus not some Pastor yelling bible verses at us and claiming to be a miracle worker. Catholics and Lutherans, Orthodox probably by default are told not to brag about miracles and healings if the Lord wants people to know he will provide you the means and place to do it. Being humble above all else is one of the top virtues.

Reality is what we made it. We through away the reverence of the older generations for modern convenience and comfort, and receive the 'ugliness' that follows.You really should ask yourself if you really want to follow Christ if you prefer liturgy and beautiful church buildings than 'pastors in T-shirts'.

The truth of Christ is the entire bible, most christian churches are ran by satan through man to either absolve you unjustly (churches that proclaim abortion, divorce and homosexuality to be miscellaneous offences if that, and that faith alone saves) or make you lose hope (by claiming people who do these things are reprobate and cannot be saved, that you should continue your sin because there is no hope), or make the whole thing just seem stupid, like most of this board, unfortunately.
