The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

How does one enter again into the faith after having embarrassingly marred the name of God and accused Him of sin when they realize they were only ignorant (especially when they are still doubtful if they were wrong)? In addition to this, how far does "But whoever has doubts is condemned if he eats, because the eating is not from faith. For whatever does not proceed from faith is sin," extend? If something is not a sin but one sees it as a sin despite being told that it isn't, and they act on this (because no argument to the contrary convinces them), is it truly fine for them to do so? I know this passage is about eating food sacrificed to idols, but the Pauline principles are used often.

All sin can be forgiven in the eyes of God if it is truly repented of. If you ate the Eucharist without faith you may feel sorry, and that is a good thing.

>If you have your own opinions about what counts as sin

I'm not sure what you are trying to say in the second sentence so the greetext is what I'm responding to. If you're doing the above, then you're being a pharisee, God's standard is all that matters, adding more to the list of sins or deducting from that list is like modifying the Bible itself to suit yourself. Major sin

The passage from Paul, that "whatever does not proceed from faith is sin" matches also with the prophet (Obadiah I believe) who said that the righteous shall live by faith once the Messiah comes (paraphrasing). It shouldn't be interpreted as your faith in a thing being sin makes it a sin, it is rather a general statement about the consequences of lack of faith. Faithlessness results in cowardice, cowardice results in running from life's battlefield and making a shamfur dispray (pic related). It is only faith that God is right, and wrong is wrong which keeps us from abandoning justice in favour of worldly security.
