The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

>tells someone to read few chapters in the Bible

>”but anon that’s too long”!

>proceeds to read Harry Potter and other fictional books that have 10+ pages per chapter

And I get this from people who run “Christian chat rooms”

Those people are the same ones who spam "judge not" and "love thy neighbor" while ignoring the context of those verses, and everything else in the Bible for that matter. They claim it's "too long" because they fear being exposed to Logos, instead surrounding themselves with fantasy such as Harry Potter.

It's even worse when you're using a larger screen and read posts plagued by reddit spacing.

Stop hanging out with normies, anon. If the people you associate with don't regularly read 400+ page books they're not smart enough.

Try giving them a copy of TLotR or TCoN :^)

Nah, but seriously, it's better to just live and let live in this sort of circumstance and go on your merry way. It's a shame some people choose blind faith out of willful ignorance rather than true faith, but in the modern age of widespread accessibility to the scriptures and other spiritual texts it's all you really can do. And they especially have no excuses if they have any access to the internet.

I'm not really into medieval stuff, however well written it may be. If it took place on a modern battlefield yeah i'd like it. Don't get me wrong they are GREAT books. just not my cup of tea
