Why didn't God let Jephthah lose? Surely He had that option, and then a human sacrifice would have been prevented. Don't give me that 'she lived as a consecrated virgin,' that didn't show up till WAY late. Augustine understood that she'd been slaughtered, and why would the Jews mourn in perpetual memory a consecrated virgin?
