So I was browsing through the annals of cuckchan /pol/ and I stumbled upon an interesting discussion. A French anon admonished two other anons that claimed to be traditional Catholics and posted images of Pepe the Frog and his friend Groyper in Church attire.

While this discussion may seem silly, the French guy makes sense. Its very common to find such images in imageboards such as this one. I might be wrong, but doesn't the Second Commandment commands us to treat ecclesiastical things with reverence? If that is the case, it does seem wrong to post images of frogs dressed as monks/priests/the Pope. However, I would like to hear the opinion of other anons on this issue. Who was right in pic related discussion?

I believe the French anon was in the right. To a degree.

I would argue that it is not a sin as he put it however. Posting a stupid meme is not detracting from your relationship with God (depending on the contents).

However it is in pretty poor taste if you think about it to take things that are Holy and making them into a joke. Fortunately there is no Jesus pepe's that I am aware of yet. And they have had enough restraint not to turn Mary into a meme yet.
