Francis and his cadre love perorating about this idea of God's infinite mercy - something that is, prima facie, true. What's blasphemous however, is the idea that God will forgive sins against God's law without repentance (the sin of presumption). The example of this was the synod on the family and the conspiracy to allow adulterers to receive communion, and convincing people not to join Christ's Church. The sins of despair and presumption are blasphemies of the Holy Spirit - precisely because they convince the person not to repent. (In the case of despair, you're convincing yourself you'll always be cut off from God's grace, and the sin of presumption is assuming that God will allow you to enter His Kingdom even if you haven't repented of assaults against His law.)
