It is categorically impossible that any part of the Traditions or the magisterium could go for an entire generation without getting passed down. To say that such a thing has happened is to say that the gates of hell have prevailed against the Church. Even worse, saying that the Papacy itself has failed is to say that the gates of Hell have prevailed against the rock itself. The modern sede movement isn't the first group to reject the Pope and leave the Church over disagreements with a perfectly valid council and start LARPing as the ancient Church. The last group to do such a thing called themselves Old Catholics, they left in 1870 over the Pope infallibly teaching the Immaculate Conception. Today they perform gay marriages and female ordinations. This will be the ultimate fate of the sede movement as well if they're not reconciled to Rome, because the only thing you can do once you're cut off from the Church is to get more and more heretical from there.
