The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

What has historically been the Christian answer to the question: Does God have free will? Is God like a computer program that executes its commands once a certain condition is met e.g I follow Gods law in the Bible (the sacraments) > this triggers a key > I get accepted into Heaven, or I disobey his commands and get rejected at the gates of heaven

*Does God have consciousness?

*Does God think?

*What does it mean that God is infinite and perfect?

*If God has free will how can HE be omniscient, i.e is he all knowing of his own being too?

Is history planned? Did God intend for Adam and Eve to take a bite of the fruit? Was Jesus sacrifice necessary because of Adam and Eves free choice of taking a bite of the fruit or was the sacrifice planned too?

Imagining God as a predetermined computer program with no consciousness makes me so sad. I feel like I'm experiencing a crisis of faith because I can't answer these questions, I feel anxious when I think about it. Is there a book I can read on this very subject? This is something I had never thought about until today… all of these questions just popped into my head at once and it became overwhelming.

Literally just read the Bible.

Look, I hate saying this, but that'll honestly give you more answers than we could with our own words. It's not one of those questions where the answer is not written explicitly in the scriptures.

You're thinking too much rather than walking by faith. I know you're thinking too much because I can smell bacon even from here. Stop it, this is much too complex.

God is infinitely aware, God has eternal thoughts, God is goodness Itself and therefore perfect (all good things partake in God), God is eternal and unbound and uncreated therefore infinite, God knows all of Himself, in fact knowing Himself entirely is why there is the Logos, He wills things freely and creation was a conscious choice. God intended no evil but with the free will of creatures it happened. I advise you read some Angelus Silesius, Jacob Boehme, and the first part of the Summa. They answer all of these things, and look for people they are inspired by or inspire, they go into more depth. God isn't a predetermined program, as He is a person, this was almost entirely the point of Jesus Christ, to reveal God to our species personally. It's good that you're thinking of these things, as there is nothing better a human can do than contemplate God (and act on their knowledge).

God bless you. I found this: http://www.newadvent.org/summa/1.htm

And by the looks of it all of my questions (and questions I didn't even know I had) are to be answered.
