The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

The Archdiocese of Newark alone saw more than 1,000 people receiving the sacraments this Easter, roughly the same number of people as have been welcomed fully into the church each year over the past decade. The Diocese of Brooklyn, where just over 1,000 people received sacraments for the first time this Easter, also said its numbers were on par with prior years.

Keep on praying, anons.

That's because 999 of those 1000 are the children of "cultural Catholics" who don't go to church but who still take their children to be baptized/have first communion/get confirmed just because it's what they have always done.

Is the Catholic Church actually evangelizing anyone new? Does the Catholic Church even evangelize anymore? I assume no, because I've never seen a church evangelization ministry and any Catholic church I've visited and post-VII Catholic bishops keep claiming that people can be saved outside the Church anyway, so why would you even bother with evangelizing?

Yes. There's about a billion members out there, so it's hard to use anecdotal evidence, especially given that any parish out there with a weak evangelization ministry does not invalidate a parish with a strong ministry.

How is it, when you go to a church, were nobody of your parish is present at Sunday (except a few old people at the brink of death) and you're never going to met them. Is it just for the fancy liturgy?
