Not even close. While Texas is generally "red" when it comes to Presidential elections, there are huge pockets of blue in DFW, Houston, Austin, San Antonio, etc. Don't let the stereotypes fool you. I'm from a very rural part of NE Texas (Cass County, specifically) which is full of Steel Workers Union members and Unions always vote Democrat. If you want hard-core right wing, try Mississippi or Wyoming.
