The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

I remember a thread a while back asking for help on a theological matter in a fantasy setting and thought I'd ask for my own project I'm working on. In part I'm trying to write a catholic fantasy/sci-fi

book. The direction I was working is kinda like a cross between the wheel of time and the canticle of leibowitz.

The main idea I'm trying with this is to show the alienation and loneliness we see today and the way to overcome it in a different setting, along with showing the horrors of abortion, sodomy, etc. My sticking point is the setting. I'm building it around the idea of a multiverse(I know, so original) but not like it is known in most sci-fi. I have my own problems trying to rectify that with salvation, as in how exactly does one person in multiple universes be judged once they die. As a whole or individually. Which brings up to many sticking points so I cut out that bit.

My idea, and the main question is, that there are multiple universes, multiple earths, wildly different histories(and in some ways like what we know), but populated by the souls of those that die to early in other universes to be properly given a chance to live. Pretty much just aborted and miscarried children. I like the idea but something just feels off using it and I've been stuck on it for a while. Is there something wrong with this idea? Should I salvage it or should I just move on?

You should be careful of straying into abomination territory. You should only use scifi parts as plot devices, otherwise you could end up disgracing god's creation. For example: time travel, which undermines history as god's story. As a concept, it is satanic.

Read C.S. Lewis' Space Trilogy. He does a good job of portraying Christianity in a scifi/fantasy setting without coming off as blasphemous. Use that as an inspiration.
