It's not precisely good.

It's a Japan-lite-style trend of people being too busy with work, in-door entertainment and stuff to screw or party like fratboys/girls.

But after the burnout of the degeneracy of the 60's-70's-80's, yes, there is also some natural conservative swing, born out of people realizing it's not all that cracked out to be, and that sex, drugs and rock&roll aren't quite so shocking and taboo-breaking nowadays.

Entertainment has become too strong. It's too easy to be completely entertained at any time. It has come to the point where many people would rather stay home and surf the web than socialize. The internet provides instant, cheap entertainment, virtual socialization (which despite not being real connections, fulfills the human need for social connections adequately) with none of the emotional risk associated with actually connecting with another person.

That article is trash and the format is terrible, but I'd expect nothing less from The Guardian.

That's the main reason, I'm sure. Many young people want it, but are either too socially awkward or too comfortable in their own little bubble to put in the "effort" of getting it. Those of us who are voluntarily celibate are few in number and practically unheard of by normies… even my Christian Baby Boomer parents don't believe me when I say I'm not sleeping around.

It's easy to not act on corrupted goods when there is next to no good left to corrupt, going by the Augustinian theory of evil. Since we are not exactly in a global revival or major reformation right now, we need to ask what these people are replacing those forms of degeneracy with, since they are clearly not replacing them with Christ.

Also, less sex in general means less legit, marital sex as well, which is itself an evil since God wants babies, lots of babies and couples who are unified constantly.

I'm afraid young people are having less sex because porn is so easily available in these days. Getting your sexual release from pornography is a lot easier than having to leave your house, socialize and compete with a load of other thirsty males for a sexual partner.
