The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

>The Home Office refused asylum to an Iranian who converted from Islam to Christianity because it said that Christianity was not a peaceful religion.

>The Iranian national claimed asylum in 2016, but was turned down, with Home Office officials saying his conversion from Islam was 'inconsistent' with his claim Christianity was a peaceful religion - by highlighting violent passages from the bible. They said that the Book of Revelation was “filled with imagery of revenge, destruction, death and violence”.

The statement concludes:

>These examples are inconsistent with your claim that you converted to Christianity after discovering it is a 'peaceful' religion, as opposed to Islam which contains violence rage and revenge'

This is what happens if you let in Muslims into your Offices and thereby control it

The asylum seeker was disingenuous. He tried to cynically drive a wedge between Abrahamic faiths for his petty jockeying for global gibsmedats.

Has it become appropriate yet to call for judgement against nations with a ZOG?

>And Rabbi Yoḥanan says: A gentile who engages in Torah study is liable to receive the death penalty; as it is stated: “Moses commanded us a law [torah], an inheritance of the congregation of Jacob” (Deuteronomy 33:4), indicating that it is an inheritance for us, and not for them.- Sanhedrin 59a

>Fight against those People of the Book who have no faith in God or the Day of Judgment, who do not consider unlawful what God and His Messenger have made unlawful, and who do not believe in the true religion, until they humbly pay tax with their own hands. -Quran 9:29

Sounds like Islam and Judaism are not peaceful religions at all and in fact are telling their followers to actually take violent action instead of just saying “let God handle it”

Read the full 59a.

The other rabbis immediately disagreed, and their responses went from "Gentiles doing Torah study is awesome" to "a gentile that does that is holier than a high priest".

The Talmud is a weird book of contrarian jews bickering over anything and everything.

Now, Islam, especially Salafi-influenced?

That's another story.

>The Gemara raises an objection to Rabbi Yoḥanan’s statement from a baraita: Rabbi Meir would say: From where is it derived that even a gentile who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest? It is derived from that which is stated: “You shall therefore keep My statutes and My ordinances, which if a man does he shall live by them” (Leviticus 18:5). The phrase: Which if priests, Levites, and Israelites do they shall live by them, is not stated, but rather: “A man,” which indicates mankind in general. You have therefore learned that even a gentile who engages in Torah study is considered like a High Priest.

>The Gemara answers: There, in the baraita, the reference is to a gentile who engages in the study of their seven mitzvot. It is a mitzva for a gentile to study the halakhot that pertain to the seven Noahide mitzvot, and when he does so he is highly regarded.

The rabbi got counter objected and got told that Gentiles can only study stuff that got to do with Noahide Laws then after that they just went arguing what applies to both groups and what applies to Jews only.

would it have hurt these guys to have written the Talmud a bit better?

"so and so said this but this man and this rabbi said this" is annoying to read
