I was thinking about this for a bit and this thread came up. It's about a former Muslim that left Islam and tried to get into Christianity, but prefers Eastern religion and philosophy. He says that their philosophy and arguments are much more sophisticated and he said that he can't believe that a Jewish dude (Jesus) would be born Jewish if White European Western culture is the best. He also doesn't understand why Jesus claimed to be God. I'm sorry if this is retarded, but Eastern religion is a strong force.

Another thing I see is /doomer/ types who do DMT, read Nietzsche and Evola, and decide to become some sort of Zen Buddhist-Hindu on top of the Odin stuff. On a large scale, the Eastern religions do present a larger threat to individual people in Atheist Europe and America.

People still yearn for the spiritual but they shy away from the Church, so they pick up Buddhist self-help books, bongs, and DMT. Look at how much paganism, witchcraft. and occult stuff has grown in popularity.

The sad truth is that it boils down to laziness/wanting their cake and eating it too: they essentially don't want to change and still feel free to do whatever they want, but at the same time want to feel "spiritual." The religions/"spiritualities" you mention all offer a variation of this essential model.
