The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

What do you guys think of the Sibylline Oracles? I only just learned they're painted on the roof of the Sistine Chapel.

Catholic anon here.

Having pagan motiffs in Christian art is not uncommon or heretical, Christanon. I am not 100% sure on the veracity of what I am about to say, but some legends attribute the Sybils some prophecies about the coming of Christ, and they also represent that Christ came for gentiles and jews alike. I hope this helps.

God allowed some virginal pagans to prophecy, like he allowed many virtuous pagans before and after.Christ to be saved. They are a good read and study.

>Catholics aren’t Pagan guys

>”Pagan imagery in churches isn’t heretical”

Really activates those almonds.

I really hope you don't use Christmas trees anon.

Not that anon, but I think any responsible reformer should reject the ritual celebration of Christmas altogether. The birth of Christ is to be celebrated every day.

>A god-created fir tree is the same as a painted image of a pagan oracle.

As Paul says, we can esteem days as holy, so long as we blaspheme not the Lord (just like how the Jews made Purim in Esther).

It’s about the heart. Why paint fully pagan symbols in a church? A fir tree however, can represent Jesus Christ; cut down in its prime, yet evergreen, without any pagan connotations.
