The "hardening" is the part where all the unbelieving Jews were stripped of their identity and cut off from the people. So those are not Israel any more. Only then and when all the saved become part of Israel will Israel be saved, as it says.
Galatians 3:16
Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ. — Galatians 3:16
You can see here that the promise was to Abraham and to Christ, as only the Lord Jesus Christ is worthy to inherit these things. If you say that someone else was included as worthy apart from the one Christ then you have a problem with Scripture.
And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. — Galatians 3:29
Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ. — Galatians 4:7 (KJV)
So you see that only Christ was worthy to inherit these things. Likewise, only His genealogy is important, which we have in the Gospels.
1 Peter 2:9-10
But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.
Revelation 3:9
Behold, I will make them of the synagogue of Satan, which say they are Jews, and are not, but do lie; behold, I will make them to come and worship before thy feet, and to know that I have loved thee.
Matthew 8:11-12
And I say unto you, That many shall come from the east and west, and shall sit down with Abraham, and Isaac, and Jacob, in the kingdom of heaven. But the children of the kingdom shall be cast out into outer darkness: there shall be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
